Product Instruction:

Double suspension clamp for OPGW, adopting double-layer design, consists of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end)/structural reinforcing rod in proper size and length, to pass axial load and disperse radial compressive stress, to reach inner reinforcing parts through plastic jacket, so as not to hurt the plastic jacket or inner optical fiber that are fragile and vulnerable. The clamp, which is anti-resistant excellently, includes outer structural reinforcing  rod/structural reinforcing rod, two suspension clamps and matching connection hardware.

 

Function:

Intended on straight-line pole with a big height-difference and a span over 800m, one pole for one set.

Installation of Double Suspension Clamp for OPGW

Components: outer structural reinforcing  rod, structural reinforcing rod, anchor shackle, double suspension yoke plate, parallel clevis, rubber clamp, suspension clamp, U-strap, ground wire clamp

  

Installation Steps:

1.   Hang onto pole at a selected point, connect double suspension yoke plate, leaving it natural;

2.   Make two suspension marks on the corresponding cable according to the bolt center at the bottom of the double suspension yoke plate;

3.   Take a single structural reinforcing rod, make its two installation color marks aligned separately to the two suspension marks on cable made in step 1, wind for 3-4 pitches from any of installation marks towards both ends;

4.   As former step, wind the 2nd structural reinforcing rod around cable;

5.   As above, wind the rest structural reinforcing rod near center point on cable, keep both ends of structural reinforcing rod loose;

6.   Finish winding both ends of structural reinforcing rod, ensuring an even and orderly winding;

 

7.   Centralize the alignment color mark of structural reinforcing rod, split the two sets of rubber clamp into two parts, one left, another right, clamp outside structural reinforcing rod (dead end), fasten up with tape;

8.   Make the suspension installation mark of the outer structural reinforcing rod aligned to the rubber clamp center (make sure the two surfaces of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) and rubber clamp are coincided). Wind the outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) on each side of rubber clamp for 2-3 pitches;

   Incorrect installation

9.   As step 8, wind the 2nd outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) on another side of rubber clamp;

10.   Install the rest outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) evenly and levelly;

11.   Wind both ends of rod evenly and naturally by hand (not use any tools to avoid from scratching and damaging cable);

12.   Aim the suspension clamp center at the center mark of outer rod (dead end), enchase suspension clamp outside  rod, leaving lug upward;

13.   Enchase the anchor shackle onto suspension clamp from bottom to top, tap it in place by hand;

14.   Install parallel clevis, screw up;

15.   Install another suspension and parallel clevis as the same;

16.   Connect and fasten the two parallel clevis severally with double suspension yoke plate;

17.   Connect the pliers-clamp of ground wire, screw up;

18.   Wear with ground terminal, lock nut up;

19.   Installation is over.

 

 

 

Instructions:

 1.   Any moving and installation of it shall be avoided extrusion, severe impact from deformation;  

 2.   As matching parts for suspension clamp, it shall not be reused repeatedly;  

 3.   Not change randomly the quantity and length of suspension clamp parts, not be used repeatedly, it’s only be disassembled and reassembled once, that’s a permanent installation, shan’t be used once again;  

 4.   Winding the structural reinforcing rod is required to operate by hand, not use any tools to avoid from damaging cable;
