Product Introduction:

The tension Dead-end is intended for turning angle, continuing and terminal connecting. The helical aluminum clad steel rod has strong tensile strength, no concentrated stress, plays a role to protect cable and assist reducing vibration. The whole set of cable tension clamp contains the structural reinforcing rod, outer structural reinforcing rod, matching connection hardware. Clamp’s holding strength is no less than 95% of rated tensile strength, easy and fast to install, cut construction cost, suitable for 100m<span≤400m.

 

Function:

The hardware is mostly intended to bear axial tension, and uniformly distribute radial stress, to ensure safe and reliable holding strength offered on the premise of not damaging cable (mostly used in turning angle, continued pole and terminal pole).

Installation of Tension Dead-end for Medium Span ADSS

 

Components: anchor shackle, chain link, thimble clevis, outer structural reinforcing rod (dead-end), structural reinforcing rod

Installation Steps:

1.   Assemble Anchor shackle, chain link and thimble clevis together;

2.   Fix Anchor shackle at a hanging point;

3.   Pull one leg of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) through thimble clevis, and connect it, make both legs of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) paralleled with cable, and make a crossover mark on cable according to installation color mark of outer preformed rod (dead end);

4.   Make the structural reinforcing rod’s end color mark aligned to the crossover mark made in step;

5.   Align the center color mark of the 2nd structural reinforcing rod, and wind onto cable levelly for about 2 pitches without overlap;

6.   As former step, wind 3rd and 4th structural reinforcing rods onto cable levelly for about 2 pitches without overlap;

7.   For convenience, tear the part of about 20-30cm from the end of structural reinforcing rod into smaller subsets winding;

8.   Wind its end levelly by hand (not use tool to prevent from damaging cable);

9.   Make the two color marks of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) and structural reinforcing rod aligned, wind one leg of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) for 2-3 pitches;

10.   As former step, wind another leg for 2-3 pitches in the same way, while wind the outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) until the place of about 20-30cm from the end;

11.   For convenience, tear the part of about 20-30cm from the end of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) into smaller subsets winding;

12.   Installation is over.

 

Instruction:

 1.   Select tension clamp model according to its outer diameter, rated tensile strength (span), etc.;  

 2.   In moving and installation, any extrusion and severe impact shall be avoided from structural reinforcing rod deformation;   

 3.   As matching components, the tension clamp shall not be changed randomly, not be used repeated. In installation, it may be disassembled and reassembled only once, which is a permanent assemble, shall not be disassembled once again;  

 4.   In the process of structural reinforcing rod winding, to operate by hand is required, any tools shall not be intended to prevent from damaging cable;
