Product Instruction:

The tension dead-end  is intended for turning angle, continuing and terminal connecting. Helical aluminum clad steel rod has strong tensile strength, no concentrated stress, plays a role to protect cable and assist reducing vibration. The whole set of cable tension hardware contains: structural reinforcing rod, outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end), matching connection hardware. Clamp’s holding strength is no less than 95% of cable rated tensile strength, easy and quick to install, cut construction cost, suitable for a span>400m.


Function:

The hardware is mainly intended to bear axial tension, uniformly distribute radial stress, to ensure safe and reliable holding strength offered on the premise of not damaging cable (mostly used in turning angle, continued pole and terminal pole).

Configure model by cable diameter, RTS and span.

 

Installation of Tension Dead-end for Large Span ADSS

 

Components:  anchor shackle, extension link, thimble clevis, outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) and structural reinforcing rod

 Installation Steps:

1.   Assemble Anchor shackle, extension link, and thimble clevis together;

2.   Fix Anchor shackle at a hanging point;

3.   Pull one leg of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) through thimble clevis;

4.   Parallel cable with both legs of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end), make a crossover mark on cable according to installation color mark on outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end);

5.   Make the structural reinforcing rod’s end color mark aligned to the crossover mark made in step 4. leaving its short-end toward iron tower, wind structural reinforcing rod for about 2 pitches from installation mark;

6.   Align the center color mark of the 2nd structural reinforcing rod, and wind around cable levelly for about 2 pitches without overlap;

7.   As former step, wind the 3rd and 4th structural reinforcing rod levelly onto cable for about 2 pitches without overlap;

8.   For convenience, tear the part of about 20-30cm from the end of structural reinforcing rod into small subsets winding;

9.   Wind its end levelly by hand (not use tools to prevent from damaging cable);

10.   Align the two color marks of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) and structural reinforcing rod,  wind one leg of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) for 2-3 pitches from the installation color mark;

11.   As former step, wind another end for 2-3 pitches in the same way, and while wind the outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) until about 20-30cm from its end;

12.   For convenience, tear the part of about 20-30cm from the end of outer structural reinforcing rod (dead end) into smaller subsets winding;

13.   Installation is over.

  

 

 

Instructions:

 1.   Select tension clamp model according to cable’s outer diameter, rated tensile strength (or span), etc.;

 2.   In moving and installation, it shall be avoided from extrusion, severe impact, and deformation;  

 3.   As matching component, it shall not be changed randomly, and not be used repeatedly, it may be disassembled and reassembled only once, which is a permanent assemble, shall not be disassembled once again;  

 4.   In winding process, to operate by hand is required, any tool shan’t be intended to avoid from damaging cable;
